Benedict Arnold : The Lathrop House, Norwich, Connecticut

The Lathrop house on Washington Street in Norwich, CT. Built in 1744 to replace the 17th century Lathrop home that burned down on the same spot. Arnold moved here, just up the road from his own home, in 1754, when he was 13 years old. He lived here for about eight years as an apprentice to his cousin Daniel Lathrop, a wealthy Norwich pharmacist. The apothacary shop was located across the street.
